Malbim #1: If he finds out that you do not want it, it is like rebellion against him. If I will hide this, I fear lest he see that you look worse than your colleagues, and he will sense that I did not feed you like he commanded.

Malbim #2: Daniel requested Kosher food from the king's table. This is not like rebellion. However, if the king will see that you look inferior to your colleagues, I will be liable for not feeding you like he commanded.
