Why did she say "Timtza Shifchsecha Chen b'Einecha"?

Rashi: [I should be pleasing to you, and] you will pray for me.

Radak: If he informed her that her Tefilah was accepted (refer to 1:17:2:1,2), this is like "Emtza Chen b'Einei Adoni" (Bereishis 33:15) (may I find grace in your eyes).

When did she eat, and why?

Radak (17, 18) 1: She ate after returning home. She had not eaten with her husband; or perhaps she ate a little, due to his coaxing. Now she felt good and ate, for she thought that Eli's prayer will help her (and all the more so, according to the opinion that he informed her that her Tefilah was accepted. Refer to 1:17:2:1,2.)

Malbim: She knew that she was cured, for she became Nidah (Midrash Shmuel 2:12) expounds this from "l'Darkah" 1

Radak: This is like "Derech Nashim Li" (Bereishis 31:35).

What is the meaning of "u'Faneha Lo Hayu Lah Od"?

1.

Rashi: She no longer had an angry face.

2.

Radak citing Targum Yonasan: She no longer had a bad (sad) face.

Midrash Shmuel 2:12: Beforehand, her face resembled a monkey or a Seris. Malbim - this is a mtp 1 . Before, it showed crying and anger.
