What is the meaning of "va'Yefer"?

Rashi: Hashem made His nation multiply. Radak - [it need not say "Hashem" here, for] He was mentioned above - "Imras Hashem Tzerafas'hu" (verse 19). They multiplied greatly - "u'Vnei Yisrael Paru va'Yishretzu va'Yirbu" (Shemos 1:7). This is why the Egyptians feared - "va'Yakutzu Mipnei Bnei Yisrael" (ibid., 12).

What is the meaning of "va'Ya'atzimehu mi'Tzarav"?

Radak: They became mightier than their afflicters - the Egyptians, who later became their afflicters - "va'Ya'atzmu bi'M'od Me'od" (Shemos 1:7).
