What is the meaning of "umi'Tzaharayim Yakum Chaled"?
Rashi #1: The light of Chaled will be more for you than noon. Chaled is Mazal and time 1 , like "v'Cheldi ch'Ayin Negdecha."
Rashi #2, Ibn Ezra #1: This is like Yakum Ohr Chaludah Shelcha - the dark place will illuminate more than noon.
Ibn Ezra #2: Chaled is time. Yakum is to stand, like "v'Kam ha'Bayis."
Devar Eliyahu: The light increases until "Nechon ha'Yom."
Malbim: It is the new world that will stand after this world. It is life of the world to come. It will stand from noon, from the place of light, not in this world, that stands from a place of darkness. Iyov himself said "Lo Ashuv El Eretz Ofel v'Tzalmaves"!
Rashi: It seems that this is not correct.
What is "Ta'ufah"?
Rashi #1: Your Afeilah (darkness) will be like light 1 .
Rashi #2: It is [radiance,] like "Af'apei Shachar" (3:9). Malbim - when the first radiance comes, it will immediately be morning, even though in this world it is still night. When the night of this world departs, the sun of the world to come will shine - the eternal hidden light.
Ibn Ezra: Some say that this is looking, like "ha'Sa'if Einecha."
Ibn Ezra: Some say that it is like Ayefah (tired). This is correct. If you repented, your Chaled (old age) will be like the noon sun. The time of darkness will return like morning - "Yashuv li'Ymei Alumav", "Tischadesh ka'Nesher Ne'uraichi."
Devar Eliyahu: It is darkness at the time of death. Also this world, which is like night, will be like morning.
Rashi: This is difficult. If it is an expression of Ofel, there should be a Shva under the Tav, like Tenufah and Terumah!
