Why does does the Torah insert the words "mi'Kol Sheretz ha'Of"?
Bechoros, 7b: To extrapolate that what comes from a Sheretz ha'Of (honey from a bee) is permitted. 1
In spite of the principle 'Kol ha'Yotzei min ha'Tamei, Tamei' ? See Torah Temimah, note 66.
What are the "Kera'ayim"?
Rashi: They are two jumping legs (in addition to its four regular ones), which it uses to spring from one location to another. 1
Rashi (citing Chulin 59a & 65b): To be Tahor, it must also have four wings which cover the majority of its body, and it must be called 'Chagav'. This is with or without a Gabachas (a bald head; some say, a hump), a tail, and a long head. However, we are not expert in what is called 'Chagav'.
Why is the word "Asher Lo Kera'ayim" written with an 'Alef' but read with a 'Vav'?
