Why is Edom compared to a Chazir?
Moshav Zekenim: Because like a Chazir which is is always saiated, since its food is always available - it eats even refuse and human excrement 1 - Yitzchak told Eisav - in Vayishlach Bereishis, 27:28 - "u'mi'Shemanei ha'Aretz Yih'yeh Moshavecha!" 2
Pesikta Zutresa (Bereishis 26:34): A pig sticks out its hooves and says 'I am Tahor!", and all say "Gerah Lo Yigar Tamei Hu." So Edom steals and spreads money (does Chesed); about them it says "v'Chesed l'Umim Chatas." This is like Esav, who hunted and abused men's wives, and at the age of 40 he married, to make himself appear like his father, who married at 40.
Moshav Zekenim: It is called 'Chazir' because it is Chozer (returns) and eats human excrement. And just as Chazeirim are subject to all kinds of plagues; so too will Edom be stricken with Tzara'as.
(Moshav Zekenim: Which he blessed Eisav "Ki Tzayid be'Fiv" (Ibid. 25:28) - 'because he always placed venison in his mouth'.
