?u?Sh?martem es Kol ha?Mitzvah ? ?. Which Mitzvos is the Torah referring to? What is the connection to the prvious Pasuk?

1.

Seforno: With reference to 11:8:7:1, the Torah is referring to the stones that they were destined to erect in the Yarden, and to those which they took from the Yarden - on which they would write the entire Torah as testimony to what they had seen, for future generations to learn about it, in order to take possession of the land ? , ?u?Lem?an Ta?arichu Yamim al ha?Adamah ? ? (Pasuk 9) ? because, if their children would not keep all the Mitzvos , they would be expelled from the land prematurely. 1

See Seforno in Pasuk 9.

2)

How will we reconcile this Pasuk with the Mishnah in Avos, 1:3, 'Al Tih'yu ka'Avadim ha'Meshamshin es ha'Rav Al-M'nas Lekabel P'ras'?

1.

Seforno: The Torah is merely stating that the Mitzvos they would perform when rosssing the Yarden - with regard to the various sets of stones that they rected, and on which they wrote the entire Torah as testimony ... , will ensure that their children go on the right path and will live a long time in the land.

2.

Da'as Zekenim and Hadar Zekenim: We should perform Mitzvos out of love, and the Torah is informing us here that it is in order to do so that we will inheri the land.
