What does this Mizmor discuss?

1.

Malbim: It is about Hashem's Hashgachah and guarding Yisrael from all their enemies.

2)

What is the meaning of "Rabas Tzeraruni mi'Ne'urai"?

1.

Radak: The days of Galus are compared to a man's days. The beginning is like youth, and the extension of Galus is like old age. At the beginning of Galus, the enemies afflicted us greatly. Above, I explained the Sav at the end of Rabas (refer to 120:6:1:1).

2.

Malbim: It is a great matter that they afflicted me in my youth. The verse depicts that they are a fortified city that from the day it was founded, the enemy besieged it thousands of years. "Rabas" teaches a bigger Chidush. Refer to 129:1:3:2, 129:2:1:2).

3)

What should Yisrael say?

1.

Radak: They should thank Hashem for not letting the nations eradicate us (refer to 129:2:2:1).

2.

Malbim: They should say that they were besieged from their youth. The Divine form of Yisrael mandates that the nations will oppress them and fight them, for "Hen Am Levadad Yishkon uva'Goyim Lo Yischashav" (Bamidbar 23:9). Even so, they could not harm 1 Yisrael, for their G-d is with them to save them.

Granted, they could not eradicate Yisrael, but they did harm Yisrael! Perhaps he means that they could not harm Yisrael more than Hashem decreed. (PF)
