Will Hashem give a king in His anger?

1.

Radak #1: I gave to you a king (Sha'ul) in My anger. You requested a king against My desire - "Osi Ma'asu mi'Meloch Aleihem" (Shmuel I, 8:7).

2.

Radak #2: I gave Yaravam ben Nevat to be king over the 10 tribes, amidst My anger against Malchus Beis David.

3.

Malbim: I gave to you a king in the days of Shmuel amidst My anger, for I knew that in the end you will divide and serve the calves, against My will.

2)

What did Hashem take in His anger?

1.

Radak #1: [Sha'ul] died in the war with Pelishtim. He ruled over them only two years. You can recognize that you have no kingship other than Mine. The king that I appoint over you - if he will do My will, he and you will be saved from all evil.

2.

Radak #2: He took Tzidkiyah, the last king.

3.

Radak #3: He took Hoshe'a ben Elah, the last king of the 10 tribes.

4.

Malbim: Hoshe'a, the last king, was better than the kings before him. He should not have been punished due to his deeds. He was punished due to general Evrah (anger that spreads, and punishes even those who do not deserve it).
