Why does it say "Ad Anah" four times in this and the coming verse?
Rashi and Radak (from Shocher Tov 1 ): They refer to the four kingdoms. This is like "va'Yhi Cha'asher Kara v'Lo Shame'u Ken Yikre'u v'Lo Eshma" (Zecharyah 7:13). This is Midah k'Neged Midah. I said four times Ad Anah - "Ad Anah Me'antem" (Shemos 16:11), "Ad Anah Yena'atzuni
This is like Shocher Tov, just it brings the verses in a different order. (PF)
Why did he say "Ad Anah Tishkacheni Netzach"?
Radak: Until when will You forget me? You put me in the hand of my enemies for many years. The nations will say that You forgot me!
Malbim: This is when sin can cause Hashem to forget him. When sin increases so much, Hashem totally removes His Hashgachah. He does not help or harm him. He is left to chance in all his matters.
Why did he say "Ad Anah Tastir Es Panecha Mimeni"?
Radak: Either You forget me,] or You know my affliction, and You hide Your face from me; You do not want to turn to me.
Malbim: Hester Panim is when Hashem's Hashgachah is on him to punish him for his sin; he is not forgotten. However, the punishment is hidden in natural means, e.g. enemies and afflicters. It seems that the evil comes via chance or nature; it looks like Hester Panim.
