What do we learn from "Tesham Shomron"?

1.

Rashi: Its guilt will be revealed.

2.

Radak: Shomron will be Shemamah (desolate). This is like "va'Yeshemo Yoshevei Vah" (Yeshayah 24:6). It mentions Shomron, for it was the capitol of Malchus Efrayim - "v'Rosh Efrayim Shomron" (ibid. 7:9). It was last to be captured in Eretz Yisrael (of the 10 tribes - PF).

3.

Malbim: When the Navi heard that no one regrets, and Hashem will not retract the decree, he turned to Klal Yisrael. He said, the primary sinner in the rebellion was Shomron, the capitol. They supported serving the calves, and the kings in Shomron made Klal Yisrael stumble. If so, there is a solution via Teshuvah. Why should you perish with Shomron?!

2)

Why does it say "Ki Maresah bEi'lokeha"?

1.

Radak: It persisted in serving the calves. Had the kings been good, they would have returned Yisrael to do good.

2.

Malbim: Shomron should bear the guilt, for it rebelled against its G-d.

3)

Why does it say "Oleleihem Yerutashu"?

1.

Radak: In a cruel way, to cast infants to the ground or on the walls to cleave them, and to cleave pregnant women. Malbim - this is proper for Shomron.

4)

What are "Hariyosav"?

1.

Rashi: Pregnant women (in Herayon) in it. Radak - the grammatical form is like Daliyosav.
