Malbim - for 43 years, until Shlomo brought the Aron to the Beis ha'Mikdash, they sang this in the morning, and in the afternoon, "Shiru la'Shem Barachu Shmo?" 1 (verses 23-33 here; Tehilim 96:2-13) (Yalkut Shimoni Shmuel II, 142). Here it also mentions Hashem's promise of the land to Avraham, and that He commanded the nations not to harm [Avraham and his seed]. He showed His wonders in Sedei Pelishtim, so they would not harm the Aron or Yisrael His nation. Also refer to Tehilim 105:1:1:2.
