How do they make night like day?
Rashi: Those who mock me, they reverse night to day. Amidst affliction of mockery, I cannot sleep at night.
Malbim: They say that the darkness of night, i.e. death and the grave, in which darkens the day of this world, is the true day.
How is light close due to darkness?
Rashi: It is due to the afflictions of darkness. When the sun sets, it seems to me that only recently the day illuminated, and it was shortened and passed. "Ha'ir ha'Zos Kerovah" - it was settled recently; "Chadashim mi'Karov Ba'u."
Malbim: They say that just like night and day are neighbors, so after the night of death and its darkness the light of eternal life will shine, and I will see it.
