Rashi (Devarim 28:37): When an evil blow comes on someone, they will say 'this is like Ploni's affliction.' People will speak about him. Ibn Ezra (ibid.) - l'Mashal is in the ear; li'Shninah is in the mouth.

Rashi: I will be like Tof (a drum) in people's eyes.
