What is the meaning of "Ho'alta"?
Rashi (Shmuel II, 7:29): Desire. Radak (ibid.) - this is like "va'Yo'el Moshe" (Shemos 2:21), "Ho'el Na v'Lin" (Shoftim 19:6), "Hinei Na Ho'alti" (Bereishis 18:27, 31).
Targum Yonasan (of Shmuel II, 7:29): Began. Malbim - this is Makor (like an infinitive); the Brachah that You began will be forever. Radak (ibid.) - this is like Targum Onkelos of the first "Hinei Na Ho'alti" (among Bereishis 18:27 and 18:31), i.e. Sharisi. 1
In our texts, Yonason translates so in both verses, but Onkelos translates both of them 'Asgisi' (I increased).
What is the meaning of "Lihyos l'Olam Lefanecha"?
Radak (Shmuel II, 7:29): They will always serve You. Malbim (ibid.) - David needed to pray only about this. Hashem's promises are always fulfilled if the recipients are worthy. "You spoke" - there is no change from Your side.
What is "Beis Avdecha"?
Radak (Shmuel II, 7:29): David refers to himself, like the other occurrences of the word "Avdecha"(in his words here).
Radak (Shmuel II, 7:29, citing Targum Yonasan there): The houses of Your servants, i.e. Tzadikim.
Here it says "Berachta". Why does it say in Shmuel II, 7:29 "Dibarta"?
Malbim: There, Ezra revealed that Hashem's speech is Brachah, and automatically he is blessed forever.
