Why did Hashem grant Nevu'ah to the false Navi who caused the true Navi to transgress?
Rashi citing Sanhedrin 104a: Hospitality to guests is great. It puts Shechinah on Nevi'im of the Ba'al!
Radak: Because the true Navi transgressed, the Nevu'ah did not come to him, rather, to the false Navi, to inform the true Navi of his sin 1 .
Malbim: Had Hashem told the true Navi himself, others would not know why he was punished, and they would think that it is because his Nevu'ah was false. Now, everyone knows that there was a different reason.
Why didn't Hashem give this Nevu'ah to a nearby Tzadik, who would go to tell him? Surely there were Tzadikim around shortly after Yaravam became king! (PF)F
