Why is there a Chirik under the Mem in "mi'Rdof"?

Radak: [Usually there is a Tzeirei under the prefix Mem preceding a Reish, but] we find like this - "mi'Rdof Acharei David" (Shmuel I 23:28), "me'Atzbecha umi'Ragzecha 1 " (Yeshayah 14:3).
