Rashi: He profaned himself - he was "Kodesh [Yisrael] la'Shem Reishis Tevu'aso" (Yirmeyah 2:3).

Radak: They profaned a Bas Yisrael, who is Kodesh, and married Nochriyos for co-wives.

What is the meaning of "Kodesh Hashem Asher Ahav"?

Radak: Clinging of man and woman is Kodesh Hashem - "v'Davak b'Ishto" (Bereishis 2:2). He commanded Yisrael to be Kedoshim. Kodesh is not to send themselves to every woman, like Goyim do. At the end of the Arayos it says "Kedoshim Tihyu" (Vayikra 19:2). Also Yisrael are called Kadosh - "Kodesh Yisrael la'Shem" (Yirmeyah 2:3).

Malbim: There is Begidah (betrayal) in loving [Nochriyos].

What do we learn from "u'Va'al Bas El Nechar"?

Radak citing Sanhedrin 82a #1: One who has Bi'ah with a Nochris is like one who marries idolatry. Idolatry does not have children! The verse refers to a Nochris like idolatry itself.

Rashi: They married Nochriyos in Bavel. Even the Kohanim did, like it says in Ezra (9). Chachamim said that Mal'achi is Ezra (refer to 1:1:1:1***).

Radak: Bas El Nechar is a girl who serves idolatry - the opposite of "Kel Echad Bera'anu" (10).

5.

Malbim: This is "To'evah."
