What is the meaning of "ba'Bamah"?

Radak: The house where the Mishkan and Mizbe'ach stood is called Bamah, due to the Bamah, there, i.e. the Mizbe'ach 1 . Likewise, "Ya'aleh ha'Bamasah Le'echol" (Shmuel I, 9:13) is not the Mizbe'ach ? one does not eat there, rather, in houses where there was a Mizbe'ach; this is the Bamah.

When Moshe's Mizbe'ach was in the Mishkan in Gilgal, Shilo, Nov or Giv'on (Rashi Megilah 9b, Melachim I, 3:4), it was called Bamas Tzibur or Bamah Gedolah.
