What is the meaning of "hal'Kel Yiskan Gever"?
Rashi #1: Does a person help 1 and give pleasure to Hashem 2 ?! Yiskan is an expression of pleasure, like "va'Tehi Lo Sochenes."
Rashi #2: If a person learns, is this for the good and need of Hashem?! Yiskan is an expression of Limud (teaching or habit), like "ha'Hasken Hiskanti."
Ibn Ezra #2: Some say that Yiskan is to rely. Does one rely in his deeds on Hashem? Or, does an Adam Maskil rely on Hashem, and on man only according to his deeds?
Ibn Ezra: Yiskan is Yochi'ach 3 , like "Hasken Na Imo u'Shlam" (21). Will man disprove Kel, or will a Maskil mediate [and decide] between them?
Ibn Ezra #1: This is like "Hoche'ach b'Davar Lo Yiskon" (15:3).
Malbim: Hashem cannot immediately reward a Tzadik and punish a Rasha in this world, for then people would not serve Hashem and refrain from evil for His sake, rather, for reward and to avoid punishment. Such service is not pleasing in Hashem's eyes.
Ibn Ezra: This Perush is best.
What is "Ki Yiskon Aleimo Maskil"?
Rashi: When he teaches to people Da'as and Chochmah. Yiskon is an expression of Limud.
Ibn Ezra: Refer to 22:2:1:3-4.
Malbim: Will Hashem make one understand the benefit of Avodah, via seeing that he immediately gets reward or punishment? Via this, the Avodah would not please Hashem.
