What is "Shuchah Amukah"?

1.

Shabbos 33b: It is Gehinom. 2.

2)

What are "[Shuchah Amukah] Fi Zaros"?

1.

Shabbos 33b: They are people who foul their mouths. Gehinom is deep for them.

2.

Rashi: They are idolaters.

3.

R. Yonah: It is talking with a woman. It makes a man stumble in sin, like a deep pit. He falls because he did not guard from her. Therefore, one must guard from her and talking with her.

4.

Malbim: They are the ways of Chachmah and philosophy of idolaters; the mouth refers to Chachmah. Shuchah is a pit. When it is deep, it is impossible for one who falls there to get out. Via learning [idolaters' philosophies], Nefashos lean to heresy, and cannot leave from there to go to the light of life.

3)

Who is "Ze'um Hashem [Yipol Sham]"?

1.

Rashi: One whom Hashem hates; he is spurned. He falls and stumbles in the pit.

2.

R. Yonah: This is worse than a deep pit, for one who falls in a deep pit, Hashem does not spurn him. One who falls due to Pi Zaros (talking with a woman), Hashem spurns him after he falls.

3.

Malbim: It is one who learns idolaters' philosophies. There is no hope that Hashem will help him to leave the pit, for he is Ze'um Hashem; Hashem's curse applies to him. He is trapped in heresy and destruction. Anyone who separates from it dies - "Kol Ba'eha Lo Yeshuvun" (2:19) (Avodah Zarah 17a).
