What is the meaning of "Zore'a Avlah Yiktzar Aven"?
Rashi: The harvest is according to what was seeded. According to his action, so will be his wage.
R. Yonah: If an Ashir will come to profit via Ribis, and rely on the fact that his fear is on the poor and others - they fear to bring him to the judges to exempt them from the Ribis - in the end, he will reap Aven. He will lose in place of gaining - Midah k'Neged Midah.
Malbim: One who lends with Ribis to do unjustly, the staff of his anger, with which he rules over the poor, will be finished. They will rise against him and kill him.
Why does it say "v'Shevet Evraso Yichleh"?
Rashi #1: The stalk of his sheaf withers away.
Rashi #2: The staff of his anger, with which rules over people, it withers away, for he loses his ability.
R. Yonah: He will falter and his wealth will be finished off, and the fear of his anger will cease. The poor used to fear his wealth - "Ashir b'Rashim Yimshol" (7). Also this is Midah k'Neged Midah. In the matter that he intentionally transgressed - he overpowered the poor via fear of his wealth, [he is punished]. Those who lend with Ribis, their property falters and goes down the drain (Bava Metzi'a 71a).
Malbim: Refer to 22:8:1:3.
