How will He profane His Mikdash?

1.

Radak: He will bring foreigners to profane it - "v'Chilelu Es Tzefuni u'Vau Vah Paritzim v'Chileluha" (7:22).

2.

Malbim: This is the Nimshal of his wife dying. The Shechinah clung in the Mikdash with love, like a man's love for his wife.

Why is the Mikdash called "Ge'on Uzechem"?

1.

Radak: This is like it says "l'Ga'on Samahu" (7:20). The Beis ha'Mikdash was Ge'on Yisrael, their strength and glory over every nation. Hashem's honor was seen in a cloud and supreme fire.

3)

Why is the Mikdash called "Machmad Eineichem"?

1.

Radak: Its building and Tikun (how it was arranged) was beautiful.

4)

What is "Machmal Nafshechem"?

1.

Radak: This is like a person who is Chomel (has compassion) for something that he loves. Every day they hoped to return to it, like the false Nevi'im in Bavel promised them. This applies [to the Beis ha'Mikdash, and] also to their children left in Eretz Yisrael. When the herald will tell them that they fell to the sword, they will not mourn over them, for they will be startled over their great afflictions, and not put to their hearts to eulogize and cry.

5)

Why does it say "Asher Azavtem"?

1.

Rashi: You abandoned them in Yerushalayim when you went to Galus.
