'Rashi': This is [a metaphor,] like "ha'Yichyu ha'Avanim" (Nechemyah 3:34) and "Yo'av Yichyeh Es She'ar ha'Ir" (Divrei ha'Yamim I, 11:8). Radak ? We find like this "Alsah Aruchah l'Chomos Yerushalayim" (Nechemyah 4:1), "va'Yerapei Es Mizbach Hashem he'Harus" (Melachim I, 18:30).
