Why does it say "v'Horadtich Es Yoredei Vor"?
Rashi: This is like Im (with) Yoredei Vor.
Radak: You will perish from the world like those who descend to the pit, i.e. the grave.
Radak citing Targum Yonasan: I will take you down with those who descend to the grave.
Malbim: The entire nation and the multitudes in it will descend with those who descend in the pit to Am Olam (refer to 26:20:2:3).
Who is "Am Olam"?
Rashi: They are the other Nochrim, who were always there.
Radak: A nation that died a long time ago. Their bodies were destroyed, and turned to earth.
Malbim: It is Dor ha'Mabul ? also all of them were wiped out in water.
What is the meaning of "ka'Charavos Olam"?
Rashi: Like cities that were destroyed from then, e.g. Sedom and its colleagues.
What Tzvi will He put in Eretz Chayim?
Rashi: I will put the glory in Yerushalayim.
Radak: I will put desire and glory in Eretz Yisrael, which is Eretz Chayim. You rejoiced over its destruction ? it will return to it former state (Eretz Chayim). Because it says about Tzor "b'Eretz Tachtiyos", i.e. land of the dead ? they perished from the world, it says oppositely about Eretz Yisrael ? it is Eretz Chayim.
Radak citing Kesuvos 111a: It is a land whose dead live. I.e. Jews who die in it will live at Techiyas ha'Mesim.
Radak citing Targum Yonasan: I will put fondness in Eretz Yisrael.
Malbim: Eretz Yisrael will return to be Eretz Tzvi, and it will be filled from your destruction 1 .
This is like Megilah 6a expounds "Amrah Tzor Al Yerushalayim? Imal'ah ha'Charavah" (Yechezkel 26:2) ? when one of them falls, the other rises. Tzur was filled from the destruction of Yerushalayim (Rashi Bereishis 25:23).
Why does it say "Lema'an Lo Seshevi"?
Radak: You will not dwell again.
Malbim: I will cause that they never have another settlement. The ruins will remain at the bottom of the land, so it cannot be founded and establish another island, due to the ruins.
