Why does the Torah write "u'Venei Palu Eli'av" (plural):

Bava Basra, 143b: To teach us that if someone who has one san and a daughter declares that all his property should go to his sons, his property goes to his son - since it is normal for a person to refer to his son as 'Banav? (plural). 1
