In that case, why does the Torah write that the bells hung between the pomegranates, when it may just as well have written that the pomegranates hung between the bells? See also Ramban, who asks that, according to Rashi, the pomegranates did not serve any purpose.
In which case "be'Soch" means (not between, but) inside. See also Ramban, citing Zevachim, 88b (and Targum Yonasan), who, , explains that there were seventy-two bells and pomegranates, thirty-six on either side of the two front flaps (Refer to 28:4:3:2). Refer also to 39:24:1:1. See Ba'al ha'Turim: The seventy-two bells and pomegranates corresponded to the seventy-two appearances of Nega'im that came as a result of Lashon ha'Ra, for which the Me'il atoned.

But Onkelos translates "va'Tipa'em Rucho" as 'Zagin', and "me'Chartzanim ve'Ad Zag" as 'mi'Portzanin ve'Ad Atzurin', implying that 'Zag' is what is Otzer (holds in) the juice and pits, like the Gemara explains in Nazir, 34b?
