Why does it say that Shlomo sat on Kisei Hashem?
'Rashi': Kisei Hashem is to make king whom He wants.
'Rashi' citing Pesikta Zutresa 15: His throne was full like the moon on the 15th of the month. There are 15 generations from Avraham until Shlomo - "v'Chis'o cha'Shemesh Negdi" (Tehilim 89:37) - like the sun, which is never deficient. If you want to compare it to the moon, "k'Yare'ach Yikon Olam" (ibid., 38) - like the moon in the world to come. After Shlomo, the kingship descended from its greatness, like the moon diminishes. The 15th generation 1 from Shlomo was Tzidkiyah - his eyes were blinded (Melachim II, 25:7).
The Midrash counts generations, therefore it does not count Asalyah, Yehoachaz, Yehoyakim and Yehoyachin. (PF)
Why does it say that all of Yisrael heeded Shlomo?
'Rashi': They heeded him immediately, unlike Sha'ul, about whom base people said "Mah Yoshi'enu Zeh" (Shmuel I, 10:27). Also David ruled initially only in Chevron for seven years (Melachim I, 2:11)!
