Here it lists Shim'a and two sons named Elishama, Below (14:4-7) it lists only one Elishama, and it lists Shamu'a and Elishu'a!
Radak (Shmuel II, 5:14, 15): Shamu'a is Shim'a 1 . Elishu'a is Elishama.
Here and below (14:5-7) it lists Nogah, and two sons named Elifelet. They are not listed in Shmuel II, 5:14-16!
'Rashi', Radak: Nogah and the other Elifelet are not listed there, for they died 1 (Malbim Shmuel II, 5:13, citing Mahari - when they were minors).
'Rashi': The first Elifelet died, and David gave the same name to a later son. The same applies to Elishama. Malbim - David was punished for the episode with Uriyah "Arbatayim" (through the death of four children ? these two, Amnon, and Avshalom. Refer to Shmuel II, 12:6:1:1*
'Rashi' writes that sons of David who died are listed here, but not in Shmuel II, 5:14-17. What is the reason?
'Rashi': This Sefer is for the honor of David and his seed. It is honorable that he fathered so many children!
Radak: Here it lists all who were born in Yerushalayim 1 .
Malbim: Here it says "Kol Bnei David 2 ."
Also Shmuel II, 5:14 lists "ha'Yiludim Lo bi'Yrushalayim"! (PF)
He did not explain why they are listed below (14:5-7). There it does not say Kol Bnei David! Perhaps they are listed also there, for consistency within the Sefer. (PF)
Why does it say that there were nine? The verses listed six born in Chevron, and 13 in Yerushalayim!
Daf Al ha'Daf (Kidushin 76b): There are nine whose mothers are not named. R. Reuven Margoliyos ? the mothers are not named, for they were Yefos To'ar.
