Who are "[Banim] Sorerim"?

1.

Rashi: They veer from the [straight] path (Malbim - time after time).

2.

Radak: "Banim Atem la'Shem Elokeichem" (Devarim 14:1). Woe that they are Sorerim, like a cow that is Sorerah and veers from the good path. They abandon their Father in Shamayim, and when affliction comes, they do not repent to Him and request help from Him. Rather, they request help from their enemies. They do not ask a Navi about what they do; they act on their own counsel.

Why does it say "v'Lo Mini"?

1.

Radak: It is not My counsel.

3)

What is "Linsoch Masechah"?

1.

Rashi: To make a ruler over you, i.e. Pharaoh. Radak - this is like Targum Yonasan, to appoint a king.

2.

Radak #1: The matter ("La'asos Etzah") is repeated in different words. Counsel is secret and covert; also Linsoch Masechah refers to covering and hiding counsel.

3.

Radak #2: They intend to be covered (protected) in the shade of Egypt.

4)

Why does it say "v'Lo Ruchi"?

1.

Rashi: I did not consent.

2.

Radak: It is not via My Ru'ach [ha'Kodesh] or word.

3.

Radak citing Targum Yonasan: They did not ask My Nevi'im.

5)

What is the meaning of "Lema'an Sefos Chatas Al Chatas"?

1.

Radak: Their sin does not suffice for them. Rather, they increase sin via asking for help from another, without My permission. This is a great rebellion of a slave against his master, to depend on another master in front of his master.
