What is "Yashor Al Anashim"?

1.

Rashi: He makes Shoros (rows) of people when he is saved from his illness, and thanks his Creator.

2.

Ibn Ezra: This is surrounding, like "Yashur k'Shach Yekushim." A wall is called Shur ("Banos Tza'adah Alei Shur") because it surrounds the city.

3.

Sha'arei Teshuvah 1:18, 4:19: If he sinned Bein Adam l'Chavero, he has no Kaparah until he returns what he stole, and requests pardon 1 from the one he pained, shamed, or spoke Leshon ha'Ra about him. If he does not pardon him, the sinner must bring a group of three people, up to three times.

1

Malbim: Tefilah and regret do not suffice. He must or fix his sin. Yashor is to be Meyasher (straighten) his crookedness against Anashim.

2)

What is "Chatasi v'Yashar He'eveisi"?

1.

Sha'arei Teshuvah 4:19: Because I did not see merit for a straight man, and I disgraced him, I must humble myself and admit in front of Rabim.

2.

Malbim: He confesses for Chet, Zadon (intent), and Avon (crookedness of intellect).

3)

What was not Shavah for him?

1.

Rashi: I had no reward in His words 1 .

2.

Ibn Ezra: I did not do what is proper. He openly confesses in front of people!

3.

Malbim: I was crooked and veered from straightness. So I was not Shavah in my body - I became ill via my body veering from equilibrium.

4.

Malbim (Bi'ur ha'Milos): I derived no benefit from it, like "v'Chol Zeh Einenu Shavah Li."

I.e. had I obeyed His words, I would have had reward! (PF)
