What is the meaning of "u'Fagshu Tziyim Es Iyim"?
Rashi citing Targum Yonasan: Tamvan (martens) will find cats there.
Radak: Tziyim are Chayos that dwell in Tziyah (a dry Midbar). The city will house wild animals.
Malbim: Tziyim are Chayos that come from afar with Tziyos (boats). Also Iyim come from afar - from Iyei ha'Yam (islands). This is like a commerce city. People from afar meet people of their country there.
What is "Sa'ir"?
Rashi: It is a demon. Radak - the Targum of "la'Se'irim Asher Hem Zonim Achareihem" (Vayikra 17:7) is la'Shedim.
Radak: Perhaps it is a Chayah of the Midbar.
What is the meaning of "Hirgi'ah"?
Rashi: It is an expression of Mirgo'a (rest).
What is "Lilis"?
Rashi: It is a female demon.
Radak: It is a Chayah that screams at night, or a bird that flies at night. 'If one miscarried the form of Lilis, she is Temei'ah (like a Yoledes). It is a child, just it has wings 1 ' (Nidah 24b).
Malbim: It is a bird that cries and wails the entire night. The verse depicts that this bird, which in settled places has no rest - therefore it screams bitterly every night - there it will be calm, and not cry.
This shows that it is a bird! Why was Radak unsure if it is a Chayah? (PF)
