Why did Eisav move away and not Ya

QUESTIONS ON RASHI

2)

Rashi writes: "'The land in which they dwelled was unable' - In the homiletic Midrash... [Esav left] because of the outstanding 'debt,' i.e. the decree of, 'Your offspring shall be strangers... [enslaved for 400 years]' (15:13)." Why interpret that as the reason?

1.

Gur Aryeh: Why would Esav leave Eretz Yisrael completely; could the entire land of 400 Parsa'os not contain the flocks of both Yaakov and Esav? Note that the verse does not say that 'the land of Canaan could not contain them;' rather, it was the particular area "in which they dwelled" that could not. 1 Esav felt constricted and wished to move; and he figured that this was as good a time as any to leave Eretz Yisrael, so as to escape the decree of servitude in Egypt.
