Why did the Torah omit the sockets of the Kodesh ha'Kodashim?
Ramban: Since it mentioned the Kodesh, and said that the Paroches divides between the Kodesh and the Kodesh ha'Kodashim, it is as if it had said 'the sockets of the Kodesh and the sockets of the Kodesh ha'Kodashim'.
How were the hunded Kikar distributed among the sockets of the Kodesh and those of the Paroches?
Rashi: Ninety-six Kikar were used to support the forty-eight planks of the Kodesh (two per plank) and four, to support the pillars on which the Paroches was suspended. 1
Rashi: All the remaining sockets were made of copper.
What is the significance of the hundred sockets?
Moshav Zekenim and Ba'al ha'Tuim: It corresponds to the Pasuk "Meyusadim al (Gematriya , a hundred) Adnei Paz". 1
And corresponding to that, the Chachamim enacted a hundred B'rachos each day (Ba'al ha'Turim). The Gemara in Menachos 43b cites the source for the hundred B'rachos as the Pasuk in Eikev Devarim, 10:12 "Mah Hashem Elokecha Sho'el me'Imach ...", and Bamidbar Rabah (18:21) maintains that David ha'Melech enacted them in response to a hundred people were dying each day in a plague. Perhaps "Adnei" alludes to the sixty-five (its Gematriya) copper sockets of the Chatzer and the Masach (PF).
