What do we learn from "u'Skof"?
Rashi: It was strong.
Malbim: The middle of the tree was thick, unlike tall trees, which are thin.
What is the meaning of "Yimtei li'Shmaya"?
Rashi: It reached to Shamayim.
What is "Chazuse"?
Ibn Ezra: It is branches. "Keren Chazus" (8:5) has [horns] like branches.
Ibn Ezra citing R. Yeshu'ah: This is like Chaze ? its appearance 1 . Malbim - it could be seen from the end of the land because it was very thick.
Ibn Ezra: And so he explained "Keren Chazus." This is wrong. How will he explain "va'Ta'alenah Chazus Arba Tachteha" (8:8)?! (NOTE: Surely, that means that four horns arose in place of the broken horn! ? PF)
