Rashi: It means that the curtains and the screen of the Chatzer covered and protected the Mishkan 1 and the Mizbe'ach which they surrounded.

What is the meaning of "ve'es Kol asher Ye'aseh bahem"?

Rashi (citing Targum Onkelos): It means " ... and all that was handed over to the B'nei Gershon".

Ramban: It means " ... and all the many tools that were manufactured for use in the Mishkan and the Chatzer.

What are the connotations of "ve'Avadu"?

Seforno: It refers to the small implements that were required to arrange the above-mentioned Keilim, such as and hammers to hammer the pegs in place and tongs to remove them. 1

Oznayim la'Torah (citing the Radal): It is referring to any repairs that needed to be made to the curtains, should they tear. 2

Why does the Torah not mention this with regard to the B'nei Merari?

This was not applicable to the B'nei Merari, since it was unusual for the planks to need repairing, particularly so bearing in mind that they wee overlaid with gold. See Oznayim la'Torah.
