Why does it say "I made the land"?
Rashi: I gave it to whom was straight in My eyes.
Why does it mention putting man on the land?
Radak: Man is appointed over the land, and he is the head of creations of the land. Everything created in it was for his sake.
Malbim: I did not create man until the land was finished with everything found in it, in order that man will find all his needs. Had man been created on day three, he would have lacked the luminaries and the animals that were created for his benefit. This shows Hashem's desire to benefit man
Why does it say Yadai Natu Shamayim v'Chol Tzeva'am Tzivisi"?
Radak: This is like David said "Ki Hu Tzivah v'Nivra'u" (Tehilim 148:5). The doing and stretching was only a command; it was not speech 1 , rather, [His] desire.
Malbim: This shows that Hashem has the ability to help.
Even though it says "va'Yomer Hashem", sometimes this is not speech, e.g. "va'Yomer b'Libo" (Bereishis 17:17). (PF)
