What is the meaning of "Adam Bikar Bal Yalin"?

1.

Rashi: Bikar is an expression of honor and glory.

2.

Radak #1: One who has honor and money that he thinks that it will last forever, it will not lodge with him. Rather, he will leave it to others. Death is called Linah, just like it is called sleep - "v'Yashnu Shenas Olam" (Yirmeyah 51:57).

3.

Radak #2: Yekar refers to the Neshamah, just like it is called Kavod - "Lema'an Yezamercha Chavod" (30:13). One who engages in follies of this world will not die with his Kavod, i.e. it will not remain in his death.

4.

Malbim: One who cannot take his honor and wealth to lodge with him in the grave

What is the meaning of "Nimshal ka'Behemos Nidmu"?

1.

Shabbos 151b: A wild animal rules over a person only if he appears to it like an animal.

2.

Radak #1: His Neshamah will perish, like that of animals. Nidmu is like a repetition of Nimshal.

3.

Radak #2: Nidmu is being cut off, like "Nidmah Melech Yisrael" (Hoshe'a 10:15). I.e. just like animals are cut off when they die, so a Rasha is cut off when he dies. His Neshamah will not remain; it will perish - "Hikares Tikares ha'Nefesh ha'Hi" (Bamidbar 15:31).

4.

Malbim: [One whose honor will not lodge with him in the grave,] he was foolish like an animal. Man must take his honor with him, i.e. do Chesed and good deeds, so something will remain for him in his end. One who did not do so is compared to an animal.
