What is the meaning of "Rav Pesha'einu Negdecha"?

1.

Radak: With our fathers' sins, they are many. Initially it said 1 that that the Galus is long due to the fathers' sins. Now it says that it is due to the fathers' sins and the sons' sins together. It says, for in Galus we confess for our known sins revealed in front of You. This is unlike our fathers, some of whom said 'Hashem does not see us.'

2.

Malbim: These are sins of rebellion Bein Adam la'Makom.

1

Radak explained so in verse 9; it is not explicit in the verse. (PF)

2)

How did our sins testify against us?

1.

Radak: The afflictions are punishment for our sins. Chatoseinu is plural; Ansah is singular, for each sin testifies against us. We find like this - "v'Einav Kamah" (Shmuel I, 4:15), "va'Yavo Elai Anashim" (Yechezkel 14:1) and similar verses.

2.

Malbim: Chatoseinu are sins that a man did against his colleague, e.g. theft.

3)

How are our sins with us?

1.

Radak: We recognize them and confess over them.

2.

Malbim: They were not only in the past. We still did not repent from them!

4)

What do we learn from "va'Avonoseinu Yeda'anum"?

1.

Radak: The matter is repeated in different words.

2.

Malbim: Sins via mistakes of intellect and denial, we recognize them, but we persist in our false mindsets!
