Why does it say "El Makom Echad ha'Kol Holech"?

Ri Kara: The man and Nefel go to the same place (the grave).

Rid: One who did not see good, he goes to the same place as one who saw good his entire life. The verses demean three kinds of wealth - monetary (1), many children (3), and long life.

Seforno: Everything goes to one level of perishing - the intellectual Nefesh with the Nefesh of Chiyus and its powers. It did not attain the purpose of the merit of life, to acquire eternity and its happiness.

Metzudas David: What benefit did he get from his longevity? When he dies, he returns to the earth (grave) like others [who did not live so long]!
