What is "Zos Toras ha'Nazir coming to include?

1.

Nazir, 47a: It teaches us that the Nazir is obligated to perform the final ceremony 1 even if he has no hands with which to perform the Tenufah and no hair to shave.

1

Refer to 6:7:4:3 and see Torah Temimah, note 122.

2)

What are the connotations of the current Pasuk?

1.

Ramban #1: 'This (the above) is the Din of the Nazir who takes the Nazarite vow - his Korban for Hashem falls due, besides whatever he obligates himself to bring'.

2.

Ramban #2: 'This (the above) is the Din of the Nazir and this is the Din concerning his Korban to Hashem that goes with his Nezirus ... '.

3.

Ramban #3: The Torah is stating that, once the Nazir takes the Nazarite vow, all he needs to add, is that he undertakes to bring a Korban on his Nezirus (without specifying it); Or that once he undertakes to become a Nazir, his Korban falls due automatically, and it is not necessary to mention it at all.

3)

What are the implications of the words "Korbano la'Hashem al Nizro?

1.

Yerushalmi Nazir, 2:9: It implies that the Nezirus must precede (the designation of) his Korbanos, and not vice-versa. 1

2.

Sifri: It implies that only the three Korbanis that he is obligated to bring at the termimation of his Nezirus are subject to the Dinim mentioned in the above Pesukim, but not any other Korban that he adds voluntarily.

See Torah Temimah, note 123.

4)

What are the implications of the phrase "Mil'vad asher Tasig Yado"?

1.

Rashi, Ramban #2 and Rashbam: It implies that if a Nazir undertakes to become a Nazir on a hundred Olos and a hundred Shelamim, the Neder is valid and that is what he is obligated to do, 1 as the Pasuk goes on to explain. 2

2.

Ramban #1: It implies that if the Nazir is wealthy, he should bring additional Korbanos.

3.

Temurah, 10a: It implies that, if the Nazir cannot afford the Korban, he can be Yotzei with Korbanos that he purchases with money that he received from others later. 3

1

Rashbam: Like the Torah writes in Emor, Vayikra 23:38 "Mil'vad Kol Nidreichem u'Mil'vad Kol Nidvoseichem ... ".

2

Ramban: And he is not permitted to drink wine until he has brought them all.

3

Since his Korban is fixed and he is not subject to 'Heseg Yad' - like a Korban Oleh ve'Yoreid at the end of Parshas Vayikra.

5)

What are the implications of the words "Kein Ya'aseh"?

1.

Menachos, 27a: They imply that the Chalos and the wafers are both crucial 1 - that the Nazir cannot bring one without the other.

1

See Torah Temimah, note 126.

6)

What are the ramifications of the words "Al Toras Nizro"?

1.

Rashi and Ramban: Even though the Nazir is permitted to add to the basic requirements of a Korban Nazir, he is not allowed to detract from them. Consequently, if he undertakes five Neziros on condition that he brings three sets of Korbanos, "Ka'asher Yidor kein Ya'aseh" does not apply to him, and he is obligated to bring five sets of Korbanos.

2.

Yerushalmi Nazir, 1 #2: If someone undertakes to be a Nazir in thirty days time and a N'zir Shimshon which prohibits shaving - ever), the former - which is min ha'Torah - overrides the latter - which is only Halachah le'Moshe mi'Sinai. 1

3.

Sifri: "Kein Ya'aseh al Toras Nizro" teaches us that the Nazir is obligated to adhere to all the Dinim of a Nazir and that, if he makes a Neder Nazir on condition that will be permitted to drink wine or render himself Tamei Meis, he is a full-fledged Nazir - he must adhere to his Neder and the condition is invalid.
