What is the meaning of "Nisisi va'Chachmah"?
Rav Sadya Gaon: I tested them. Metzudas Tziyon - Nisisi is an expression of Nisayon.

Ibn Ezra #1: I tried to become a bigger Chacham [but was unable]. This is like "v'Al Tischakam Yoser" (16).
Ibn Ezra #2: I sought Chachmah, but found that it is far. Even so, I attained it and became Chacham.
Rashbam: Everything about this, I tested with my great Chachmah.
Seforno: I contemplated to picture the matter.
What is "Echkamah"?
Rav Sadya Gaon: I will understand them fully.
Rashbam: I will become wise in deep Chachmos.
Ri Kara #1: I will become wise, and not veer 1 [from Hashem's will].
Ri Kara #2: [I will learn] what is above and below [this world], what was before and what will be after.
Rid: [I said in my heart that] I fully understand all Chachmos.
Metzudas David: I will understand everything.
I.e. even though the Torah warns a king against taking too many wives, lest they veer his heart, amidst my Chachmah I will not veer, so the warning does not apply to me. (PF)
Why did he say "v'Hi Rechokah Mimeni"?
Yuma 14a: Shlomo did not understand Parah Adumah. R. Avigdor - the Gematriya of "v'Hi Rechokah" equals that of Parah Adumah.
Rav Sadya Gaon: I am far from understanding them fully.
Ibn Ezra: Even though the Chachmah was far, I attained it.
Rashbam: I cannot understand the deep Chachmos.
Ri Kara: I was punished for this {taking too many wives, amidst relying on my Chachmah}.
Rid, Metzudas David: I see that really, I did not attain all Chachmah.
Seforno: The level of human intellect is merely potential. It is far from the level of the actual matter - the Creator's intellect.
