What is the shame of Chachamim?
Rashi: They despise Hashem's word. What is Chachmah to them?!
Radak: They did Sheker. When they will see that their Chachmah will not help them, they will be ashamed, and see that had they engaged in Torah and fulfilled it, it would have helped to save them from the evils coming on them.
Malbim: The primary Chachmah is knowing what is good and bad in all details of Midos and conduct. One cannot attain it by himself. Man cannot know the ways of the Nefesh - what is Chachmah and what is foolish, and which powers of the Nefesh to use, and how much, and when, to do or refrain, like it says in Mishlei at length. All Chukim of Chachmah were given from Hashem via a Navi and were written in the Sefer Torah. Those who despised Hashem's word do not have the foundations on which Chachmah rests, for it is not in man's intellect.
Is "Chachmas" Samuch to "Meh"?
Radak: Yes. What is the benefit of their Chachmah, if they do not have Torah?!
