Ibn Ezra: Even if man does not cut it, it will dry up by itself.

What do we learn from "v'Lifnei Chol Chatzir Yivash"?

Rashi: When the water ceases and the marsh dries, it dries before grass. Devar Eliyahu - so a Rasha, when his Mazal is good, he succeeds. Do not confront him then! He will win in Din! He grows on water - "u'Meshalem l'Son'av El Panav Leha'avido." However, "the day of their downfall is close, when their feet will falter."
