What is the way of those who forget Hashem?

1.

Rashi: They succeed when their Mazal is good, until their measure is full.

2.

Devar Eliyahu: This refers to one who is mostly Aveiros. He eats the principal of his merits in this world.

3.

Malbim: They are like the reed and grass - they are satiated with pleasures and excesses. Initially they succeed and find their desires; in the end, they perish.

What do we learn from "v'Sikvas Chanef Toved"?

1.

Rashi: The end of a flatterer is to be lost.

2.

Devar Eliyahu: He is worse than the first, who had true merits. The flatterer hopes to people. He gets only honor, but no wealth, and also this he will lose!

3.

Malbim: One does not envy a flatterer's success for a long time [for he perishes].
