Why did she say "ha'Shalom"?

1.

Rashi: Do you want to be with me, b'Shalom? 1

1

Rashi (30) said that she hoped that Yehu would marry her. Perhaps she hinted that now you are in danger; if you marry me, you will be safe! Refer to 9:31:2:1 and the note there. (PF)

2)

Why did she call him "Zimri Horeg Adonav"?

1.

Rashi: This is not a Chidush that you killed your master. Also Zimri killed his master Elah ben Basha (Melachim I, 15:10)! Metzudas David - i.e. what you did was not so severe, for Zimri already did so. This was flattery 1 !

2.

Radak: She called him Zimri, for also he killed his master. 2

3.

Malbim (30): She mentioned that Zimri was killed, for Yisrael did not want (for a king) one who killed his master.

1

Kli Yakar: If so, she should have said Harag (past tense)! (Seemingly, she could have minimized his guilt in a nicer way - you can be b'Shalom with me, and will not occur to you like happened to Zimri! - PF)

2

This is offensive and provocative. Radak (30) explained that she wanted to find grace in his eyes, lest he kill her! This requires investigation. (PF)
