1)

How could Moshe be certain that Hashem would answer him?

1.

Rashi: This conveys Moshe's greatness, 1 in that he was like a Talmid who knows that his Rebbi will always answer his questions. 2

See also Ki Sissa Sh'mos, 32:30 and Rashi in ve'Zos ha'Berachah Devarim, 34:10.

2

Rashi: Praiseworthy is the son of man who is able to communicate with the Shechinah whenever he wants to!

2)

"Imdu Ve'eshm'ah Mah Yetzaveh Hashem lachem". What is the significance on the extra 'Hey' in the word "Ve'eshm'ah".

1.

R. Bachye: It hints at the second 'Hey' in Hashem's Name Havayah 1 which is synonymous with the "Kol" in Im Shamo'a Tishma be'Kol Hashem Elokecha" (Sh'mos 15:26). 2

1

R. Bachye: Also Targum Onkelos "Mah de'Ispaked min Kadam Hashem - hints at this.

2

See R. Bachye who elaborates.

3)

What are the implications of the (otherwise superfluous) word "Asher Yetzaveh Hashem lachem"?

1.

Targum Onkelos and Targum Yonasan: "Lachem" means (not to you, but) 'concerning you'.

2.

Oznayim la'Torah: It hints that the Parshah of Pesach Sheini was said on their merit. 1

1

Refer to 9:7:3:1.

4)

"Imdu Ve'eshm'ah Mah Yetzaveh Hashem lachem". Why is the fact that Moshe did not know the Halachah not considered a punishment - like the fact that he did not know the Din of 'Yerushs ha'Bas' - that a daughter inherits where there is no son - in 27:5?

1.

R. Bachye: Whereas Pesach Sheini is not something that Moshe could possibly have known on his own, Yerushas ha'Bas where there is no Ben is perfectly logical, and he should have known it on his own.
